| Tsukudajima where a wooden building is left |
Nature's one which Tsukudajima ("DAZIMA" to have) can have made
to be Sumidagawa estuary It says that it was 寄洲 and that this name was
on from the place to have made a fisherman in the Settsu country Tsukuda
village (the 現 Osaka-shi Nishiyodogawa Ward Tsukuda city) live by inviting
him at the time of first general Tokugawa Ieyasu in the Edo period. There
was "handing over Tsukuda" between this island and the opposite
shore (Minato-machi) and it was navigated about 70 the 1st round-trips,
too, in the maximum until completion of Tsukudaohashi in 1964. Until Tsukudaohashi
was complete, it was "a true island". Former "Tsukudajima"
is the present Tsukuda 1-chome. The present Tsukuda 2 and the 3-chome were
a place name, "new Tsukudajima", formerly but were Aioi-bashi,
and were linked and traffic wasn't blocked off at all like Tsukudajima.
Tsukudajima had Sumiyoshi-jinja of the tutelary deity, but it said that
this was the one to have asked the presence of Sumiyoshi-jinja in Osaka
and it received the belief of the fisherman and so on. There is "tsukudani"
in the specialty goods and a lot of shoppers come to the small store which
sells tsukudani at present.

The old map in 1925
It finds that "Tsukudajima" becomes an island according to this.
A wooden house is left.
The high-rise housing at Ookawahata River city 21 can be seen behind the
alley.
A skyscraper is built around, difference space seems to be spreading only
about this "Tsukuda" and there is it.
A narrow alley, too, is left.
In the specialty "The tsukudani shop"
Tsukudaohashi and Sumidagawa
Formerly, a ferry was navigated here.
Sumiyoshi-jinja of the tutelary deity
