No.61 Suica (The IC card ticket gate system)
Inspection-of-tickets system of an integrated circuit card formula
(It is the Tokyo guide to introduce by the image and the column).
The epoch-making ticket gate system appeared on November 18th in 2001 from
the JR East.
The conventional commutation ticket and the Io card (the prepaid type card
for where the ticket isn't necessary) are the one of the automatic ticket
gate. It put a card in the investing mouth and the operation to receive
it was necessary, but it only touches the IC card which is called Suica
(the watermelon) in the reading part of the automatic ticket gate and became
able to pass the ticket gate.
Because it charges (to a maximum of 20000 yen in case of the Io card) money
with the deposit machines such as the automatic ticket vending machine
when a commutation ticket is broken or the balance remaining in an account
of the Io card runs out, it becomes possible to use again. 500 yen become
necessary as the deposit (the deposit) when buying but when returning an
IC card, it repays. Because the feature of the Io card, too, can be used
in case of the commutation ticket, in case of passing of the commutation
ticket so far, it bought a ticket one by one or it equaled an automatic
reset machine, but now, it does a touch & go only and a riding past
a station part, too, is automatically checked out.
Also, because the touch & go can do even a putting-in ball to the commutation-ticket
holder, there gets not to be complication to take in and out one by one
from the commutation-ticket holder, too.
It touches in the place of the * mark which is on the investing mouth.
Writing with "always, touch" according to the instructions, but to make touch IC card itself isn't necessary, and the sound becomes ""PIPI"", saying "the pong" when placing and the balance remaining in an account and so on are displayed in the display and can pass the hand which has a card. It is a touch & go in the point which is the same when coming out, too.
If the balance remaining in an account runs out, there is a deposit in
the automatic ticket vending machine and the fare adjustment machine which
is possible about the deposit.
But use details were entered in the back at the Io card so far
It isn't entered in the IC card. Therefore, the use record can be printed
with the automatic ticket vending machine.
The details of the use are printed out to the form of the ticket for long-range.
