No.230 Ningyo-cho neighborhood (Nihonbashi Ningyo-cho)

The alley in Ningyo-cho


Ningyo-cho is the area which leaves a trace in Edo even now even if it prospers as the merchant tenderloin in the Edo period. The origin in Ningyo-cho was the name which was put because a lot of doll teachers lived in this area and the Ningyo-cho neighborhood in the Edo period was the only tenderloin of Edo when Edo public court song dance Šê in Nakamuraza Playhouse and the Ichimura-za and so on exists and the hangar of the puppet show including the show hangar stands in line.
